- Synopsis: "In 2018, hot on the heels of his best-selling Camino travel memoir Elders and the subsequent kykNET TV series Elders: Die Camino, Erns Grundling took a small TV crew to Japan to film a second Elders series, this time about the land of the rising sun, soon to host the Rugby World Cup 2019. Sushi en shosholoza is his personal account of the trip, not based on the TV series' content but complementary to it. In between pilgrimages such as the Kumano Kodo, sister pilgrimage to the Camino, climbing Mount Fuji and interviews with SA rugby players in Japan-- as well as Dan Carter and Jake White-- readers are treated to flashbacks to Erns' youth, as in Elders. He's gone from a lightie breathlessly watching matches in the old Boet Erasmus stadium to an astonished adult experiencing a Japanese rugby-watching crowd. Come walk with Erns once again, this time in the country where many South Africans will be going to support the Bokke in late 2019. Konnichiwa Japan!"--Provided by Publisher.
